Frankie and Friends

Time for another Copic/Promarker (or any alcohol marker) challenge at The Outlawz. Our theme is “Halloween,” and please use your alcohol markers.

While writing this I just realized that Halloween is Monday! Yikes! We have done nothing with decorating. I also have to carve my Boris Karloff pumpkin. We have no pumpkins yet, nor candy! Yikes! Oh well, at least I got another Halloween project completed and I am now in the mood for Halloween. :o)

I hope you like this. I sure had fun with the coloring and the layout. My main images are from The Stamping Boutique, “Haunted Birdhouse” and “Frankenstein.” I colored with my Copics, of course. I used dies for my window and the grass. My background paper was made using Ippity’s rubber stamp sets “Fall for You” and ''That’s Creepy.”

Now the details:
Coloring: Copics, Spicas, and Gelly Roll pens;
Dye and pigment inks: DI in Gathered Stray and Black Soot, Ancient Page Coal Black, Brilliance Cosmic Copper;
Dies: Cheery Lynne Design’s Grass Border, StampingScrapping Diamond Nestibilities;
CS: Stampin’ Up!.

The challenges that I want to enter “Frankie and Friends”are:
Charisma Cardz Challenges – Anything Goes
Delightful Challenges – Use Purple, Oranges, Green, and Black
DYSU Challenge Blog – Halloween
Art with No Boundries - Week 4 Halloween
Divas by Design – Something Spooky
Color Me Creative - Fall/Halloween

The Mermaid Pearl

This Saturday has been a very good Saturday. OSU beat Mizzou and OU will probably beat Texas Tech tonight. These are Oklahoma football teams, by the way, just incase you didn't know that. LOL! I also finished a project. I have had this image colored for several weeks now, and I decided it was time to do something with it.

This image, “The Mermaid Pearl,” and was created by Tracey Malnofski, Owner/Artist of The Stamping Boutique. My card lacks for embellishments, except for the pearls, and Spica pens. I wanted Pearl to pop. I hope I achieved that.

I colored her with my beautiful Copic markers and the pearls are from my stash. The CS (Concord Crush, Wisteria Wonder, and White) I used is from Stampin’ Up! I have had this digital paper printed out for several months and it was in my scrap box. It fit perfectly. The paper is from Gina K. Design’s and is part of the collection “Spring Time in Paris.”

I am entering Pearl in these challenges:
Ellephantastic Challenges – Three embellishments, Purple, Green, One image
Wee Memories – Free for all
Inspire Me Fridays – Anything Goes
Totally Papercrafts – Layer upon Layer

I am so happy that you dropped by. If you have any questions, please contact me. Have a wonderful Sunday! I hope to see you again!

Best Friends Forever

My project today is my first as a Design Team Member over at The Outlawz! Yep, I am now one of the official “Outlawz DT Girlz.” I am so honored to be in cahoots with such a talented group of artists. The challenge that I will be helping with is “Copic/ProMarker Challenge.” You know that I love Copics, and this will fit right in with my Ippity stamp sets and The Stamping Boutique’s images. This is a win/win situation for me.

The theme for this week’s Friday Copic/ProMarker Challenge is Asian. I chose Tracey’s Asian Umbrella digi image and combined it with a Unity Stamp Co. set, “Kokeshi Cuties,” designed by Samantha Walker.

I colored with my Copics, of course. The DP is digi (I have no idea where I got it) and I used two designs, cut them in triangles, and combined them to make a square. The red and white cardstock is from Stampin’ Up! My ribbon is from Really Reasonable Ribbon’s July collection. The die cuts are Spellbinder’s Scalloped Octagons and the flowers are Frangipani with Leaves. I used my Glimmer Mists Apple, Sugar Maple, and Starfish, on the flowers. The middle of the flowers are from my stash, as are the red crystals. I also used DI in Chipped Sapphire.

Challenges that I am entering “Best Friends Forever:”
Shelly’s Images Blog – Anything goes
Scrapbook Sisters – Circles
Sweet Stamps Blog – Lots of Layers

That’s it for now. I hope you all come back, and if you have any questions, do not hesitate contacting me.

Have a great weekend!

GHWI Challenge No. 8

It is the 3rd Monday of the month and time for another Get Hippity with Ippity Challenge. This challenge is easy peasy. We want to see whatever you want to create using Fall colors. It doesn’t have to be a Fall image, we just want to see the beautiful colors of Fall. You will win an Ippity stamp set of your choice from my Ippity Sales Blog. Also, you have until Nov. 5, 7 p.m. CST, to show us your true Fall colors.

I created another card (you can never have enough cards) using one of Ippity’s new sets “Thanks for all Things.” I used the resist technique for this project. It is the technique that is for one of Crafting by Designs weekly challenges. I used Tim Holtz’s Distress Inks in Black Soot, Tea Dye, and Gathered Twigs, to highlight the tree. When doing this technique you usually use glossy cardstock, but I chose to use Cryogen Iridescent. I really liked the texture it seems to have.

My dies are all Spellbinders from Stamping Scrapping. The cardstock is Really Rust from Stampin’ Up! and the DP is 7gypsies variety pack.

The challenges that I am entering are:
Crafting by Designs – Sketch and Technique
Fussy and Fancy Friday Challenge – Fall or Halloween
Stampin’ for the Weekend – Colors of Autumn
Delightful Challenges – Colors of Fall

We have a wonderful group at The Crafter’s Café also, Get Hippity with Ippity. Come join us to make new friends and to show off your Ippity and Unity creations.

Head on over to the GHWI Challenge Blog and show us your Fall colors. Thanks for stopping by!

It’s Fall in Oklahoma

Another week of beautiful weather! We also had some much needed rain overnight. I think that Western Oklahoma got most of the moisture, they really needed it.

My project for you is of one of my favorite mythical creatures, Medusa. This Medusa was created by Tracey Malnofski, owner and artist of The Stamping Boutique. Don’t you just love that face, and that hair! I really had fun coloring Medusa with my Copics.

The DP I used is from Memory Box’s Blackbird collection. All my cardstock is from Stampin’ Up!, of course. The dies are Spellbinders from StampingScrapping, except for the frilliness around Medusa. That is a grass border die from Cheery Lynn Designs. I cut it apart and glued it to the back of Medusa. I did used some Black Soot Distress Ink for some of the antiquing. The gems are from my stash.

I have entered Medusa in the following challenges:
Crafting by Designs – October wk 2 Photo Inspiration
Bows and Berries – Photo Inspiration
Gingerloft Challenges – The color Orange
PanPastel UK Challenge Blog – Autumn colors

Do you want to have some fun? Come join us at The Crafter’s Café. We have mucho Designer Groups and Social Groups started. There are also plenty of challenges going on. I think that you will find something you like. I hope to see you all there.

If you have any questions, don’t hesitate contacting me. So happy you stopped by!

New October {ippity} Release Day!

Hello everyone! Today is the release day for {ippity}’s October stamp sets. We have two for you and I was able to complete a little sample with the first stamp set.

The first set I want to show you is “Time for…friends & wine.” I used the four friends standing together stamp with the sentiment “friends uplift the soul.” I do apologize. I covered up the “l” with my butterfly. This was really fun to make and very easy.

This next set is “Thanks for all Things.” I hope I get to my studio in the next couple of days to create something CAS with this set. Isn’t it darling?

Hop on over for our Get Hippity with {ippity} Challenge #7. We have a fantastic sketch for you. And the GHWI Design Team has created some wonderful projects using the sketch.

We would love to have you all join us in the GHWI group over at The Crafter's Cafe. This is where we share our Ippity and Unity projects with each other and just chat.

That’s it for today. Thanks for stopping by!

My cardstock, basic black and natural, is from Stampin’ Up!, of course. My dies, from StampingScrapping, are Spellbinders dies, Deckled Rectangles and Foliage.
