Got Snow?

It is beautiful in Oklahoma for this first weekend of fall. We are so ready for this cooler weather. We even had some much needed rain this last week. I hope that Texas got some too.

I wanted to share my first project using La La Land Crafts rubber stamp. I have a few of these stamps, and this week I decided to play.

The stamp I used is “Marci with Snowman.” She is adorable and really easy to color with my Copics. I was thrilled that I made time for my Copics. It’s been awhile for me just to set and color. So therapeutic!

My other ingredients are:
Spellbinders dies Snowflake Pendant and Small Ovals,
Memory Box die Frosty Border,
DP: Best Creations Merry Christmas collection,
CS: Stampin’ Up! in Always Artichoke and Cranberry Crisp,
Stickles,
Ribbon from my stash.

I am entering her in StampingScrapping Challenge Central’s sketch challenge. This is the wonderful sketch.

Other challenges that I am entering are:
Stamp, Scrap, and Doodle Saturdays – use your favorite colors
Sew Many Cards – Ovals

That’s it for now. I am so glad you stopped by! If you have any questions, don’t hesitate contacting me.

Challenge #6 at GHWI

I hope everyone had a great weekend!

Are you ready for another Get Hippity with Ippity Challenge? This one our sixth challenge and is an easy one. The theme is “Buttons or Bows or Bling, Oh My!” You can use one button, one bow, one bling, or your could use two buttons, two bows, or two bling, or what about just one only of the button, bow, or bling. You can use all three or just one or two. You get the idea?

What I have done with my project is use just one, and that’s a lot of bling, with crystals. I have also used the {ippity} stamp set “Gingham Christmas Greetings.” I am going to really enjoy making some Christmas cards with this set.

My cardstock is SU’s Natural Ivory and Cranberry Crisp. I have also used the SU craft ink in Always Artichoke and Distress in Tea Dye. My bling is rhinestones from KaiserCraft. My DP is from Best Creations Ink “Merry Christmas” collection and Authentique “Wonder” collection.

I think that I have found another favorite die company, other than Spellbinders. It’s Cheery Lynn Designs. Their designs are very detailed and they are fast with delivery because their dies are manufactured in the U.S. The dies I used are the Tropical Flourish and O’ Tannebaum Christmas Tree. Just an FYI, they just now have published their September release. I think you will find something you like.

I want to invite you all to two groups, join which every one you would like. The first one is at The Crafter’s Café, Get Hippity with {ippity}. The second is my Yahoo group, Get Hippity with {ippity}. These groups are where you can show off your {ippity} or Unity little pieces of art and have some fun. I also announce the next challenge two weeks in advance.

Challenges I have entered are:
Card Cupids – anything goes
Bah Humbug – flourishes and swirls
Phindy’s Place – Christmas

Thanks for stopping by. Now head on over to our GHWI Challenge #6, “Buttons or Bows or Bling.”

New things happening at Get Hippity with {ippity}

I hope everyone in the US had a wonderful three-day weekend. The weather was fantastic this weekend in Oklahoma. We had a morning low of 48°, not our usual 82°. Heaven all around!

We have opened our Get Hippity with {ippity} Design Team blog as our challenge blog. There is now a new sketch challenge posted. This challenge is running until Sept. 17. Here is the sketch and below that is my little piece of art.

I have used one of the new September release {ippity} stamp sets for my project. This set, “ALL things are POSSIBLE,” was designed by Tracey Malnofski, an artista of Unity Stamp Co. Tracey is also the artist/owner of The Stamping Boutique. Go check out all her wonderful digi illustrations.

The second set is “Gingham Christmas Greetings.” I have both of these darling sets for purchase on my {ippity} sales blog.

I would like to invite you to our growing group, Get Hippity with {ippity} at The Crafter’s Café. We also have a Yahoo group, Get Hippity with{ippity} if you would like to join this one. The benefits, other than making some wonderful new friends, is learning about the next scheduled challenge two weeks early and showing off your {ippity}or Unity creations. We would really like to see you there.

My project was entered in the following challenges:
Crafty Boots Challenge – Anything goes
Lawnscaping Challenge – Embossing
Ooh La La Creations – Anniversary
Stamping Scrapping Challenge Central – Anything goes, but must use something from Stamping Scrapping shop (I used the Spellbinders dies and Copics that I purchased from Cindy and Kevin.)

I am so glad that you dropped by and I hope to see your little piece of art at our current GHWI challenge. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate contacting me.
